Rodic Consultants to support mountaineer Baljeet Kaur’s Mt. Everest dream; announces support

Giving wings to mountaineer and athlete Baljeet Kaur’s dream of ascending Mount Everest, Rodic Consultants has announced sponsorship to support her mission and rigorous training. A beacon of hope for athletes across the country, Baljeet has already summited 11 peaks in India and Nepal, and she is now gearing up to ascend Mount Everest this year. On getting the sponsorship, the mountaineer thanked Rodic Consultants and said the support would go a long way to encourage women athletes and promote adventure sports in India. This bold and young mountaineer will also summit Mt. Annapurna in north-central Nepal before climbing Mt. Everest.

Speaking on this, Mr. Rajkumar, Chairman & Managing Director, Rodic Consultants said,” We are really glad and proud to be a part of Baljeet’s inspiring journey and mission. Her story is an inspiration to young athletes, especially those from underprivileged backgrounds who are afraid to chase their dream. Baljeet’s determination and success will encourage them to pursue careers in adventure sports. We believe her achievements will also motivate Indian youth to pursue adventure sports activities.

Baljeet hails from Solan, a small mountain village in Himachal Pradesh. Despite her humble roots, she has become the first Indian woman to summit the 7th highest mountain in the world, Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m), Mt. Pumori (7161m) and many mountains in Northern Himalayas in her glorious career. Her father, Sardar Amreek Singh is a retired Himachal State Transport Corporation bus driver and currently engaged in micro-farming and her mother Shanti Devi is a homemaker. Regardless of numerous setbacks, she has consistently remained focused on summiting the mountains for which she is gaining well-deserved popularity for the skills that she possesses.

“I am grateful to Rodic Consultants for their relentless support. I believe this will greatly help me in inspiring today’s youth to become active in adventure sports and most importantly connect with nature besides sparking their spirit of adventure while fostering key personality traits, such as commitment, courage and confidence through adventure sports,” said Baljeet.

The mountaineer is an inspiration to the younger generation who are in schools and colleges. She is also a well-known face in the corporate sector for guiding and mentoring young mountaineers. She was honoured with Raksha Mantri Padak by Late Manohar Parrikar, former Defence Minister of India.
