Bihar CM Shri Nitish Kumar Inaugurated First Phase of Ganga Driveway and Atal Path-II

Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar inaugurated the first phase (from Digha Ghat to Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH)) of JP Gangapath Elevated Driveway which is being constructed along the bank of Ganga on 24th June 2022 at Digha, Patna. He also inaugurated the Second Phase of the Atal Path same day. Senior officials of the Bihar Government and of RODIC were present on the occasion.

JP Gangapath project includes 14.6 Km elevated structure with divided carriageway of four-lane standards with allied facilities from Digha to Didarganj (20.5 km).

The Projects Road starts from Digha Ghats (Newly Constructed Rail cum Road Bridge) and end at Didarganj (Near NH-30 Km at 197.250) along the southern bank of river Ganga in the city of Patna. The project corridor passes through various Ghats, Such as LCT Ghats, Bans Ghats, Collectoriat Chats, PMCH Ghats, BNR Ghats, Gai Ghats and Vandra Ghats & Khajekala Ghats. The project road intends to provide a new connectivity between the eastern & western area of Patna city and easing the present traffic congestion along different city roads in this area.

The second phase of Atal Path connects Digha to JP Gangapath Rotary Leg at Ch. 00+200 which includes Flyover/Underpass/Slope & Toe Wall Protection/RE Wall etc.

Both the projects is undertaken by Bihar State Road Development Corporation Limited (BSRDCL) and RODIC Consultants Pvt. Ltd. is Authority Engineer in both the projects with different partners.

RODIC uses its owned DRONES to virtually monitor the progress of the project. The high-precision data collected reports on the as-built state of the site and enables progress monitoring and non-conformance detection, while also supporting informed decision-making on project planning and management.

RODIC’s ultimate goal is to create our project sites as “Smart Construction Sites” to accomplish safe, efficient and high-quality construction.
